The United States International Communications Reform Act (H.R. 4490) would modernize the Broadcasting Board of Governors by establishing new management structures, enhancing coordination among various international broadcasting entities, and providing journalists the tools they need to produce high-quality, unbiased content in a rapidly changing media environment.

Washington, D.C. Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and U.S. Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), the Committee痴 Ranking Member, called for the adoption of an additional UN Security Council Resolution to provide necessary security for international investigators and responders at the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crash site in eastern Ukraine. In a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry today, following yesterday痴 passage of UNSC Resolution 2166, Royce and Engel urged the Obama Administration to press for an additional Resolution authorizing 鍍he immediate, temporary deployment of an integrated international mission, including security personnel, to help secure the crash site.
