Washington, DC – Congressman Howard L. Berman, Ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement on Osama Bin Laden’s death.
“Osama Bin Laden was an enemy of the United States and the free world, and his death represents a great success in the long fight against terror. Tonight we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the brave men and women of our armed forces and our entire intelligence community. Still, the fight against extremism must continue. We now face diffuse, decentralized threats around the world, and we must intensify our efforts if we are to make certain the extremism Bin Laden represented is ultimately defeated.”
